METEOROLOGY STUDENTS AND FACULTY ATTEND AMS CONFERENCE IN BALTIMORE, MD
23 Undergraduate meteorology majors, four graduate students and two faculty traveled north to Baltimore, MD for the annual American Meteorological Conference. Students participated in a packed two-day agenda where they met peers, university faculty, and professional meteorologists from across the country. Graduate students Jasen Greco and Logan Twohey presented posters during the Sunday evening research event. Professors Davenport and Shirley participated in two recruitment events and promoted Charlotte’s graduate programs and summer REU’s. This event was made possible by both the UNC Charlotte student government as well as the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences.
