GEO Visits Lambla Gallery!

The GEO club held its February meeting at Charlotte’s Lambla Gallery to view Erratic Accretion, an art exhibition by Milwaukee-based artist Nicole Shaver. Nicole joined via Zoom to provide context for the exhibition and share her interests in the intersection of art and science as well as the significance of place. Among the art pieces were mineral samples from the department’s Orchard Collection, rock samples donated by faculty, and instructional materials used in geology classes. A reception will be held March 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 prior to  Erratic Accretion’s  disassembly. All are welcome to attend and view the exhibition!
