GEO Club was on display at the Earth Day Festival at UNC Charlotte
Every April, UNC Charlotte celebrates Earth Month in various ways. Typically a week-long celebration occurs during the week that contains Earth day. This year the Earth Day Festival was held in the Belk Plaza on campus on April 12th. The GEO club ran a booth and sold t-shirts and rock samples they cut and polished in the rock lab to support the club. Below are some of the students who prepared for the festival, working in the lab preparing all of the samples:
Geology student Hunter Glasser, using the lap wheel in the lab.
Zach Keller, Geology major, using the saw to prepare samples to be sold at the Earth Day festival.
Geology and Biology major Isabella Balch cutting rock in the lab to prepare samples to be polished.
