Dr. Thomas Ludden heading to Starbucks Corporate

Dr. Thomas Ludden, GIS Research Associate with UNC Charlotte’s Metropolitan Studies and Extended Academic Programs (MSEAP) has accepted a position as Senior Market Planning Analyst with the Real Estate Strategy & Portfolio unit of Starbucks in Seattle.

Over the past 13 years, Tom has been leading the GIS and spatial analytical modeling efforts for MSEAP’s Charlotte Neighborhood Quality of Life team, and, most recently, our NIH funded research on the social determinants of Latino healthcare provision, in collaboration with Carolinas HealthCare System. Dr. Ludden earned his MA in Geography in 1999 and Ph.D. in Geography and Urban Regional Analysis in 2011 at UNC Charlotte. The geography graduate program at UNC Charlotte has a national reputation in location analysis and applied geographical analyses.
