Graduate Students Selected for Presentation
The work of two of our graduate students was selected for presentation at the GIScience 2012 conference in Columbus, OH. All submissions went through a rigorous peer review process. The presentations were “SASEIC: A GKB-Supported Space-Aware Search Engine in Chinese,” Min Chen, Yi Zhang and Xingguang Wang and “A Comprehensive Framework for Spatial Association Rule Mining,” Thi Hong Diep Dao and Jean-Claude Thill. Diep is enrolled in the Geography & Urban Regional Analysis program; Min is in the INES doctoral program and in the Geography M.A. program.
Diep Dao was also awarded one of ten GIScience 2012 Scholarships of $500 provided by the Association of American Geographers.
