PhD Student Claire Schuch wins prestigious Pruitt Fellowship and AAG’s Ethnic Geography Specialty Group’s Dissertation Proposal Award for her doctoral work on the labor market experiences of Latino immigrant youth.

Double congratulations to PhD in Geography and Urban Regional Analysis student Claire Schuch on her receipt of a prestigious 2014-2015 Pruitt Fellowship from the Society of Woman Geographers. Pruitt Fellowships are awarded to women doctoral candidates in the US and Canada to support dissertation research in geography and geographical aspects of related fields. At the recent AAG meetings in Tampa, Florida, Claire Schuch was also the 1st place winner of the AAG’s Ethnic Geography Specialty Group’s Dissertation Proposal Award earning her recognition at the AAG Awards Luncheon, a cash prize and certificate as well as future mention in both the AAG and specialty group’s newsletter.
